Cameos

Many times we are not the center of attraction or even a first choice when it comes to a key project or a marquee opportunity.

But we get drafted in for a supporting role and sometimes just as cover for someone else.

On such occasions we have 2 options

1. Feel bad for ourselves, and drag our feet on the project.

2. Give it our best, and make the cameo or supporting role count.

#1 is a sure shot way to strengthen the belief of the sponsor/ management as how they were right in not picking you as the first choice and/or offering you a support role.

#2 Increases the odds of you getting noticed, and likely even catapulted into a bigger (and then a bigger) center stage role.

It's not the brightness of the role, it's the brightness we put in the role that matters.

There is always a choice. Our choices make or mar our trajectory.
