Reflections 2021
End of the year is a time for reflection, relaxation and festivities. As I reflect back on 2021, here my 3 learnings.
1. Perspective on Priorities
The year began on a difficult note as many of us and our loved ones battled COVID, and some were severely impacted. It was harrowing time to say the least, but it brought to the fore where our priorities should lie. Often, in the day to day pursuits, we end up missing the forest for the trees. It re-emphasized for me the value of focusing and prioritizing health and family.
2. Mindset > Situation
As they say, life is 10% what happens to you and 90% what you make of it. 2021 was a firm reminder that while the COVID situation was there for everyone to see, some people/ teams/ companies made the most of the opportunity while others have meandered along. On the personal side many of us came out fitter (both mentally & physically), many learnt new skills/ hobbies, some created noteworthy wealth in the stock markets, and others progressed on their career significantly.
3. Together We Are Stronger
Through the year we The Smart Cube faced unprecedented demand, evolving client expectations, and we rallied together from operations to sales to shared services and rose to the challenge. Together we achieved significantly more than any of us individually believed we would have achieved 12 months prior.
I would love to hear from you on what lessons you take forward from 2021.
