Interviews
Interviews aren't always a reflection of our capability or credibility. It's about how our credentials come across relative to others vying for the same position.
One of my friends is awesome at cracking interviews, but get's nervous at times when he faces a new challenge at work. Equally, there is another friend who is awesome at work, confident of scaling any new challenges that come her way, but finds it difficult to crack interviews. Capability and performance in an interview are correlated, but not casual. Sometimes the high performer in one organization does not fare that well in an interview with an another organization, while an average performer may ace the interview.
Interviews are subjective as well as a relative assessment at the end of the day. Not being able to convert an interview into an offer shouldn't be a reflection of anyone's capability, and equally converting an interview into an offer doesn't mean we have sparkling capabilities. Often, cracking interviews is like muscle building, it takes practice to crack the code.
