Priortise The Small Steps
Sometimes what we believe to be your best work goes unnoticed, and what we may feel is just about ‘ok’ resonates well & gathers praise. This happens at work, in personal life, and even in what we write on LinkedIn.
It happens because we are using our (creator’s) lens to decipher what good or great looks like? The old adage ‘Customer is King’ is not limited to situations when we are actively selling a product or service, but in every interaction we have with the outside world. Every time we do something that interfaces with our families/ managers/ team members/ peers, readers etc. we need to view it from their lens. This is easier said than done, and even more difficult to consistently practice. What adds to the complexity is that our audience is also evolving each day.
One hack that works well is increasing the volume of our creation. The more we create the more we increase the odds of delivering a great product/ a great article/ a gesture that resonates well with the team/ family. For when we choose to be selective, we are reducing the odds of what may work well.
To write a great article we need to focus on writing more articles. To build a great rapport with the team we need more touchpoints with them than 1 great interaction.
