Experience Teaches you

Experience doesn't mean we don't feel anxiety or know it all when a tough or unexpected situation comes up. But it does mean we are better prepared, and usually don't overreact like we would have if we were going into it as a greenhorn.

Today's #NIFTY correction of 3.75% may look like a lot. But the fact that the investors had experienced a 12% decline almost a year back (around March 12, 2020) within a few hours means they didn't overreact this time (at least to the same tune). Despite the fact that rate of infections have surpassed the peak rate in 2020 by a factor of 2:1, the investors have learned that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Experience may be a tough teacher, but if we can survive it, it does make us better prepared and more prudent.
