Standing With Each Other
Last evening was quite difficult. As we wound down the weekend, heard about many extended family, friends and colleagues contracting COVID. While the saving grace is that it isn't as severe as last time, it's spreading like wild fire. Literally, every other person you speak to has it or knows of someone who is impacted.
As we go through the next few weeks the number of new daily cases is forecast to rise form the current 1.8 lac per day to 10-15 lacs/day in India. To put things into context, the number of daily cases stood at ~5k only 3 weeks back. The spread is already alarming in many countries from the UK to the US.
A lot of us and are colleagues, in different parts of the world, may end up contracting it. The silver lining, going by the indications, is most of us will recover within a few days and hopefully the severity will be low.
As we go through this, hopefully we can continue to be patient with each other and supportive. While being patient with our immediate team and family comes naturally, hope we can continue to extend our patience to the extended teams, partners and vendors we deal with, or even the email response that someone owes you.
